6:00 PM     Table Displays; BAC, OrthoProActive, Touch a Heart, Literary Fairies, Easter Seals, Direct Funding, Richmond Hill Budokan – Martial Arts Program, Revivo – Therapy, Bike Sports – Adapted bikes, Voxxlife, RDSP’s, plus more…

6:30 PM     Direct Funding, Representative, will explain the innovative program enabling adults with physical disabilities to become employers of their own attendants.  Attendants assist with routine activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and toileting. Direct Funding participants, called Self-Managers, are fully responsible for managing their own employees within a budget that is developed on an individual basis. 

7:15 PM     McIver Brooms, Primerica, Representative, will give an overview on RDSP’s and will also talk about how they can help families earn more income and become properly protected, debt free, financially independent and show people how to make and save money!

7:30 PM     Revivo, Boulat Karataev, Managing Director, and Nick Niagolov, Physiotherapist, will explain how suit therapy works and how it can benefit people with a disability.

8:00 PM     Easter Seals Ontario, Alison Morse, Provincial Coordinator, Special Education, will discuss Transition to Post Secondary – Planning Tips and Scholarships – Alison is the parent of a young adult with physical and developmental disabilities. More than 28 years as an advocate for children with disabilities.  Volunteer committee involvement has included Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC), Minister’s Advisory Council on Special Education (MACSE), Ontario Association of Children’s Rehabilitation Services (OACRS) and Provincial Parent Association Advisory Committee on Special Education Advisory Committees (PAAC on SEAC).  Employed by the Ontario Association for Families of Children with Communication Disorders (OAFCCD) and Easter Seals Ontario.  Alison has presented parent workshops for the Easter Seals Ontario, OAFCCD, Down Syndrome Association, Community Living and others.
